As Managing Director of Oakbrook’s RIA and Trust Practice, Steve Randolph brings his proven track record in strategic planning, change management, product design, marketing, technology, and back-office operations to bear holistically on a broad range of client challenges.
Steve developed his extensive expertise while holding senior management roles in a variety of professional settings. Prior to beginning his career in consulting, he was President and COO of Reliance Integrated Solutions, a company providing outsourced technology, operations, and investment services to RIAs, independent trust companies, and other wealth management firms.
At MassMutual Financial, Steve led an overhaul of their trust company’s marketing and sales strategy and later developed broad initiatives expanding the distribution of investment advisory, hedge funds, and other wealth management services through MassMutual’s system of agents and advisors. Steve also created the initial client service platform for a MassMutual startup – retirement services firm, Persumma Financial – and later assumed responsibility for sales and marketing as its CMO.
Steve’s earlier experience was gained at SunTrust Bank, where he began his career in the Wealth Management industry in 1978. His responsibilities included oversight of the company’s retirement services business where he led a strategic overhaul to enhance service capabilities, improve sales and marketing performance, and expand web-based and other technologies to serve clients more effectively. Prior to that assignment, Steve managed back-office functions and technology for SunTrust’s wealth management group, taking the lead on technology initiatives, merger integrations, and client service expansion.
Steve graduated with a B.B.A from the University of Georgia and received his M.B.A. from Georgia State University. He and his family reside in Atlanta, GA.
