As CEO and co-founder of Oakbrook Solutions, Tony Painter brings over 30 years’ experience serving the Wealth Management industry.

Tony developed his expertise in a variety of key project, technical, and executive roles for service providers in the industry and established his own consulting firm in 1994 prior to co-founding Oakbrook Solutions in 2000.

Previous roles include Senior Vice President at SEI and Broadway & Seymour where he was responsible for data center operations, implementations, and large project management.

Tony began his career with SEI Investments, followed by his own firm; Project Services, IMIS and Broadway & Seymour. Beginning at SEI in 1976 within data center operations and increasing his responsibilities to include data center management, implementations, and other large complex projects.  These roles were followed by responsibilities with acquisitions in the retirement services business where he was responsible for the roll out and delivery of new defined contribution products, leading to a divestiture of this business. When Tony started his own firm in 1994, he constructed teams and managed projects for then Nations Bank, Bank of America, and others. In 1996, Tony joined Broadway & Seymour to construct the delivery solutions and services for AMTrust, leading to conversions for Key Corp, Harris, and others. This experience provided a well-rounded understanding of clients’ business and the development of various solutions, inclusive of workflow, services automation, and others. As part of Oakbrook, Tony has worked with family offices, trust companies, service providers, and retirement services firms through acquisitions, mergers, and other change events to facilitate their growth and scale objectives.

Tony spent 5 years in US Air force in Intelligence Services, attending the University of Nebraska, and has completed other college course work throughout his career. Originally from Atlanta, he and his family reside in Pennsylvania.
